Udham singh Nagar

Nanakmatta Sahib Gurudwara

Situated at a distance of 56 kms. from Rudrapur on Rudrapur-Tanakpur motor route, Nanakmatta is a great pilgrimage centre of the Sikh religion. A dam has been constructed on river Saryu at Nanak Matta forming Nanak Sagar which adds up to the beauty of Nanakmatta .

Ataria Temple

The renowned shrine of Goddess Atariya is 2kms from the bus stand off Rudrapur-Haldwani route. According to a famous folktale, when King Rudra was passing through his chariot, it got stuck in the marshy land after which he decided to build a temple and well at that spot. The Atariya temple is the same; a ten-day fair is held here during the Navratras. Large number of pilgrims visits this shrine during this occasion.

Drona Sagar

Girital and Drona Sagar are well known spots and are associated with the story of the Pandevas. The Chaiti Mela is the best known fair of Kashipur. Today Kashipur is an important industrial township. In autumn (after monsoon) one can see the snow clad peaks of Trishul and its surrounding.


Giri Sarovar

This charming lake is about 2kms from Kashipur bus stand located on the Kashipur-Ramnagar route. This is an ideal picnic spot for spending time.

Chaiti Devi Temple

This temple is located at a distance of 2.5kms from Kashipur bus stand and lies on the Kashipur-Bajpur route. Large fair is held during the sacred Navratras and flocks of devotees visit this shrine during the festival.

Pantnagar

Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology G.B. University is the first ever agricultural university of India. It was inaugurated by the first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru on the 17th of November, 1960 as the Uttar Pradesh Agricultural University (UPAU). Later the name was changed to Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in 1972 to memorialize the great freedom fighter Govind Ballabh Pant. It is located at a distance of 5km from Rudrapur. This university lies in the town of Pantnagar in the district of Udhaam Singh Nagar in the state of Uttarakhand, India.

Collectorate

The new Collectorate is built on the Rudrapur Haldwani road is known for its grandeurs and is one of the very big structures in the state of Uttarankhand.
